Being a Manchester City fan, married to an FCUM fan (FC United of Manchester) and with a son who is a Bolton Wanderers fan, there are always plenty of discussions / disagreements regarding football in our house. I am registered disabled, so I go to as many of City’s games as I can, but unfortunately due to my disability, it has been a good few seasons since I managed to get to all the games both home and away.

I was one of the founder members of NWEnglandfans, which arranges regular forums for England fans to discuss tournaments, tickets, meet with various authorities connected with the game, and meet likeminded England fans. I have followed the England national team home and away since the World Cup in Italy in 1990, and the last away game I missed was in 2003 when England played Turkey and the FA did not issue any tickets for the game, prior to that the last game I missed was the friendly in Oslo in 1995.

Working the FSF Fan embassies’ at England away games gives me the chance to meet a wide variety of fans, and as a non-drinker it beats sitting in a pub for hours before a game watching everyone else get mangled! I also contribute to the FSF website by doing the research for England away games, and more recently the English domestic teams that play in Europe, which to my delight this season involves my beloved Manchester City.

My other passions, besides football, are music and photography. You will usually find me at a concert or at a festival up to my knees in mud with camera in hand snapping away at bands.
