International & Merchandising
Ken is a Pompey fan living in Devon. Born and bred in Portsmouth, he thought he might kick the habit when he moved west 20 years ago. Alas, the addiction proved too strong.
Twice in the last 30 years, his beloved PFC have nearly gone out of business but are now in the Premiership, although Ken would suggest that the atmosphere at matches was often better in the 'bad old days'.
Still a member of the Central Branch Portsmouth Supporters' Club, Ken is an old-fashioned supporter who feels that money is spoiling the game and taking it away from its roots. He strongly objects to the removal of terracing and the consequent lack of choice for fans.
It is his firm belief that only be supporters standing together can we return the game at the top to the masses and not just the privileged few and also guarantee the survival of the lower leagues without which the game would stagnate.
He is an independent member of the FSF and Chairman of the Southwest and South Wales division for whom he is also one of their representatives on National Council. On behalf of the NC, he keeps an eye on international matters, overseeing the affairs of FSF Cymru and the work of the English International Co-ordinator, working regularly himself on the England Fans’ Embassies.
My Role...
I oversee the work on the international side and am a regular volunteer on the Fans' Embassy team wherever England are playing.
