 Ken Malley

Ken Malley

International supervision and International Competition Structure

Ken is a Pompey fan living in Devon. Born and bred in Portsmouth, he thought he might kick the habit when he moved west 25years ago. Alas, the addiction proved too strong.

His beloved PFC have nearly gone out of business with increasing regularity in the last 35 years and 7 seasons in the Premier League only heightened their problems. At least the return to the Championship has improved the atmosphere.

Still a member of the Central Branch Portsmouth Supporters' Club and a recent founder member and elected Board Member of the Pompey Trust, Ken is an old-fashioned supporter who feels that money is spoiling the game and taking it away from its roots. He strongly objects to the removal of terracing and the consequent lack of choice for fans.

It is his firm belief that only by supporters standing together can we return the game at the top to the masses and not just the privileged few and also guarantee the survival of the lower leagues without which the game would stagnate.

He is an independent member of the FSF and Chairman of the Southwest and South Wales division for whom he is also their representative on National Council. On behalf of the NC, he keeps an eye on international matters, overseeing the work of the English International Co-coordinator, working regularly himself on the England Fans’ Embassies. He holds the International Competition Structure portfolio.

He also is an elected member of the FSF Executive Committee.
He has also been included each year in the team of delegates that the FSF send to the Football Supporters Europe Annual Conference.

My Role...

I oversee the work on the international side and have been a regular volunteer on the Nationwide Fans' Embassy team, for some years now, wherever England are playing. I take the lead in our interest in International Competition Structure and am also a deputy on the Safe Standing group.
