Club Governance & Ownership

I have been a Reading supporter since 1976, back when we were “Biscuitmen” rather than “Royals”, and a member of the steering group which formed STAR - Supporters’ Trust At Reading and a Board member for STAR’s first three years.

My role of “Campaigns” has included me managing STAR’s response to numerous issues, including problems at away matches, and speaking on behalf of STAR to local and national media. I also represent STAR at meetings with Reading FC, with the police and the football authorities etc and have used my professional skills as a Project Manager to improve STAR’s membership renewal process and website.

As well being passionate about Reading and what STAR can do for both football club and fans, I believe that the strength of English football depends upon the depth and breadth of the whole football pyramid, and that it is vital that this is protected at all levels for current and future generations of fans.

In support of this, I have attended “Fans United” days for Clubs in Crisis at Wimbledon, York and Cambridge, plus AFC Wimbledon’s early matches - I am convinced that fans working together have tremendous power, and that if we can harness this collective power, together we can change our game for the better and safeguard its future.
