Following Lord Triesman's attack on debts owed by Premier League clubs chief executive Richard Scudamore argued that debt is acceptable so long as it was proportionate to income. Meanwhile UEFA's David Taylor warned that clubs with unsustainable debts could be barred from UEFA competition.
