The nights are getting long and there was even a little bit of frost on the ground this morning – winter is upon us. Football is traditionally a winter sport, of course, but in recent years there’s been a growing clamour for a winter break. Even Sven’s been getting in on the act blaming England’s failings on the lack of rest and relaxation for our top players. So would you like to see them given a holiday during the worst of our weather?

Or do you think tradition should take precedence and Christmas fixtures are a longstanding custom that shouldn’t be sacrificed? Is there even room in our crowded calendar for such a break? Let us know what you think.
