Today marks the anniversary of the worst stadium disaster in British football history. On the 15th April 1989 96 Liverpool fans went to watch their team play in the FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough, and never returned home.

The thoughts of all those involved with the FSF are with those families who lost loved ones that day, and all those affected by the tragedy.

In our own small act of remembrance the most recent edition of the FSF's magazine 'the football supporter' (above) carried the names of those who lost their lives that day on its cover.

The Yorkshire Division of the FSF will be represented in a brief memorial service taking place at Hillsborough this afternoon, beginning at 2:30pm.
