 The best goal celebration ever?

The best goal celebration ever?

2nd August 2010

Fans of the Sopranos will remember mob boss Tony Soprano's oft-lamented refrain that the modern age had lost the “strong, silent, Gary Cooper” type. Men who were men - restrained and understated. Us football fans often feel the same way about celebrations too, ever since the Bebeto baby it seems every player needs their own gaudy goal salute. Whatever happened to the austere celebratory handshake of the 60s and 70s? Nevertheless, even miseries such as ourselves couldn’t help but laugh at this absolute corker of a celebration from Iceland. Genius.
