Without naming names (let us give you a clue though, it’s a big river in South America) we’re pleased to say we’ve so far matched global book distributors on price for the hardback edition of The Sky Sports Football Yearbook 2008-09 while the paperback doesn’t yet appear to be on their site (circa August 4). We’ve also beaten them on price for the Playfair Football Annual.

The Sky Sports Football Yearbook 2008-09 (formerly Rothmans) normally retails at around £35 but we’ve secured copies for members at £22.75 (inc. P&P), a 35% saving on RRP. The book clocks up at a whopping 1000 pages and aside from the usual domestic league coverage also covers European competition and Euro 08. Described by the Daily Telegraph as the ‘first reference book you should turn to’ the new edition also features FA Cup Final analysis from 1872 to 2008.
