FSF Northeast meeting - get involved!

FSF Northeast meeting - get involved!

10th November 2008

The Northeast Division of the Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF) is meeting this Thursday, November 13, at Darlington’s Dolphin Centre, DL1 5RP. Click here for directions to the Dolpin Centre. The meeting will start at 7.30pm.

This is the fourth meeting of the division following events in Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle. We’re keen to hear from new people, so feel free to come along (and pass on this invite!) whether you’re an FSF member or not.

The division has already campaigned on issues which directly impact upon Northeast supporters, most notably via its Fair Cop? scheme. Following complaints from Northeast supporters about policing and stewarding at last season’s derby games Fair Cop? gives fans the opportunity to report their experiences - positive or negative – to the FSF via anonymous text/email lines.

Having received around 10,000 words after last month’s Wear-Tyne derby alone, the FSF Northeast are now in the process of producing a report that will be circulated to all NE clubs. The division is also meeting with Northumbria Police to feed in its evidence from supporters following last month’s derby.

So come along, find out about Fair Cop? and the work Football Supporters Northeast are doing on rail travel as well as the FSF’s wider campaigns around ticket prices and Safe Standing. As well as a few pints and a bit football banter, of course.

If you have any queries on the Northeast division or wish to attend on Thursday, please email Ginnette Bentley.
