The FSF is pleased to announce that we will be out in Rome for the Champions League Final on Wednesday, May 27th, and should hopefully be operating one of our famous Fans’ Embassies. For those not in the know Fans’ Embassies offer information and advice to travelling supporters and appear at every England game. FSF Cymru also has its own version for Wales trips abroad while the FSF ran one for the last two Champions League Finals in Moscow and Athens.
The latest Rome-related information is available on the FSF’s Guide to the UEFA Champions League Final 2009 and we’ll post daily updates along with all the stadium, travel, security and tourist information that's already there. Bookmark it!
The FSF Fans’ Embassy supports all fans whether or not they have match tickets. The service provides help and advice for those who find themselves in need of it. This can be from the most serious situations - liaison with embassies and consulates when fans are arrested or hospitalised - to pointing people in the direction of the nearest bar or café.
The FSF will also be handing out Away Goals, our European match fanzine, which will feature a handy Guide to Rome, quizzes and much, much more. Manchester United fans who travelled to last year’s final should already be familiar with Away Goals which was given out in Moscow. England regulars have long relied on its international equivalent Free Lions for the most reliable and realistic information on offer.
Most supporters making the trip to Rome will already have their flights booked (good luck with that if you haven’t) and the FSF's Guide to the UEFA Champions League Final 2009 is a must if you’re going to make the most of your trip.
