Show Racism the Red Card events 2011

While most of us are only used to seeing our team's players at the game our friends at anti-racist charity Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) are giving FSF members the chance to attend a Q&A with their heroes. SRtRC was set up in 1996 and uses footballers as positive role models to combat racism.

The charity organises educational events for young people at football clubs throughout the UK. In England more than 40 clubs from all divisions will host a SRtRC event during the season. The events see young people from local schools take part in an educational workshop, see a screening of the SRtRC DVD and participate in a Q&A on racism with players from the club.

The events are an excellent way for young people to begin learning about how to combat racism and thanks to the involvement of professional footballers, they are memorable and have a considerable impact. SRtRC would like to invite FSF members to come and see these events in action, particularly those scheduled to take place at your club.
