League One side Gillingham are the latest to target ticket prices in the division by offering fans £15 tickets at a series of mid-week evening games.
Starting with their fixture against Fleetwood Town at Priestfield Stadium, the initiative branded #FloodlightFootball, Gills fans will pay £15 for adult tickets (with concessions at £10 and under-18s £5). The FSF is pleased to note that these cheap tickets will be offered to away fans too.
The club will maintain this affordable price range for fixtures against Scunthopre and Rochdale - as well as making it available to the away fans. Beyond that, tickets for Gillingham's Johnstone Paint Trophy against Luton Town will be only £10.
Gillingham are the latest club to address ticket prices outside the Premier League, following on from Coventry City - who capped away ticket prices at the Ricoh to £20 - and Doncaster Rovers securing reciprocal £20 deals for away fans in their Yorkshire derbies with Barnsley and Bradford City.
Fans in the Premier League and Football League will protest against rising ticket prices during our weekend of action on Saturday 3rd October and Sunday 4th October.
Both home and away fans will be carrying the Twenty's Plenty message at grounds up and down the country - calling on clubs to cap away ticket prices at £20.
