The Annual General Meeting of the South West and South Wales Division of the Football Supporters’ Federation will take place on Thursday 19th May (7pm start) at Gol Centre, Lawrenny Ave, Canton, Cardiff, CF11 8BR.
- Please register your attendance with Ken Malley via firstname.lastname@example.org (registration is important so we know how many sarnies to arrange). Non-members are welcome to attend although it is free to join the FSF and will only take a few minutes of your time: www.fsf.org.uk/join.
As this is the South West and South Wales Division’s AGM the election of officers (chair, deputy chair, secretary, treasurer, pyramid surveillance officer, national delegate) will take place alongside other relevant AGM business. However, the Division will also be discussing FSF campaigns and football issues such as:
- Safe Standing Campaign – The FSF’s Safe Standing Petition now has around 12,000 signatures while the FSF recently met with Sports Minister Hugh Robertson. Furthermore Don Foster MP’s Safe Standing Bill is due to be heard in Parliament while the country’s most senior civil servant has backed safe standing areas. But what can fans do on a regional level? Get along and find out, there's plenty you can do to back safe standing today.
- Review of the year.
- Discussion around a possible divisional event similar to Watching Football Is Not A Crme! (ran by the FSF in Sheffield in March).
- Fans' Parliament 2011.
If you would like to register, have further queries, wish to add to the agenda, or would like details on how to stand for elections email Ken Malley or call 01288 381259. If you'd like to read the minutes from the last South West and South Wales Divisional meeting follow this link.
Should any FSF members living on the M5 corridor from Exeter to Bristol wish to attend they can also get in touch with Ken to arrange free transport. (Rutger Hauer/deranged hitchhikers not welcome.)
