FSF Awards 2017 - nominations now open

FSF Awards Noms 2017 Now Open

The Football Supporters’ Federation Awards, one of the biggest supporter-led awards events, is just around the corner and we need your help once more in celebrating all that’s good in the game – with public nominations now open.

Last year’s FSF Awards in partnership with Virgin Media saw Philippe Coutinho pick up the Player of the Year award, following on from Alexis Sanchez in 2015 and Sergio Agüero in 2014, but who do you think should be in line for the FSF Awards this year?

The Awards will be taking place at the Tower of London on Monday 4th December and we’ll be celebrating the very best in football from the top players to your favourite fanzine.

Winners will be selected by public vote or an FSF panel following a nominations process which is now open - have your below.

How do I nominate someone?

You can nominate up to three candidates for each category by following this link (you do not have to nominate for all categories). Nominations are open until Monday 9th October, with the final shortlists being announced by the end of that month.

Three of the categories (Fans for Diversity, Away Day and Supporter Liaison Officer of the Year) will be decided by an FSF panel

What about fanzines?

Fanzines can nominate themselves by sending at least three editions from 2017 to us at: The Football Supporters' Federation, 1 Ashmore Terrace, Sunderland, SR2 7DE. These need to reach us as soon as possible so we can distribute these to our panel of judges.

And a note for fanzine editors - the fanzine category is for print fanzines only, if you're exclusively digital, make sure to nominate yourselves in the Online Media of the Year award.

How are the winners decided?

Ten categories (both player awards, writer, blogger, podcast, pundit, radio show, newspaper, online media and commentator) will be decided by a public vote, which will run throughout November on www.fsf.org.uk.

The remaining categories will be decided by a panel of judges selected by the FSF.

When are the FSF Awards and can I come?

They take place on the evening of Monday 4th December at the Tower of London. All shortlisted nominees will receive free tickets to attend, and a limited number of tickets may go on general sale depending on how many are taken up by nominees.
