Chance for fan groups to 'Meet the Met'

The Football Supporters' Federation has arranged 'Meet the Met' which is a chance for fans' groups to discuss the policing of football at London clubs.

The Met are very keen on dialogue and engagement with fans and this is a great opportunity for representatives from supporters' groups and fanzines to put questions to those who have so much influence in shaping matchdays. This won't be a top-heavy policing meeting with fans being talked "at" - it's intended to be a two-way dialogue.

There'll be a Chief Superintendent, a Superintendent, one or two match commanders and officers from the Central Football Unit in attendance, so it is an excellent opportunity to share your experiences and thoughts.

  • When? Thursday 23rd October 2014, 6pm-8pm
  • Where? New Scotland Yard, 8-10 Broadway, London SW1H 0BG
  • Register: Due to limited space this invitation is first come, first served. The meeting is not confined to London-based groups, these issues affect travelling fans too. If the meeting is over-subscribed, we will look to set up more. Email amanda.jacks@fsf.org.uk.

Please note that fans who haven't registered will not be able to attend as there are very strict security prodecures at New Scotland Yard, for obvious reasons.
