Hi, and welcome to the FSF’s International Ground Guide – our resource for fans of all teams playing in European competition.

Whether you are a travelling supporter, or just a curious individual, our aim is to supply you with up-to-date information on cities and stadia across Europe, and to provide specific matchday information for those fans following their team abroad in Europe this season. From Atlético de Madrid through to VfL Wolfsburg we will endeavour to bring you as much information as humanly possible on your team’s opponents in UEFA competitions.

When Manchester United reached the final of the Champions League, we put all our efforts into creating a special guide to Rome 09, full of information about the final, including matchday arrangements, security and policing advice, as well as our usual bits and bobs about finding the best watering holes and how to get around the city. As with all projects of this nature the International Ground Guide is a work in progress, as we develop our contacts and information on clubs across the continent, and keep amending, adding and updating our information with the best possible tidbits for you. Want to know where to go for a bite in Bordeaux, or how to find hotels in Hafnarfjarðar? Need to know how to call the police in Porto, or want to know the capacity of the Calderón? All that and more can be found in these pages, as we offer help from getting there cheaply to heading home safely, and everything in between.

When it comes to getting home safely, we do our best to highlight any known trouble spots that our police contacts have advised us of. While we do our best to search high and low to ensure our guides are as complete and up-to-date as possible, the best sort of knowledge is insider knowledge, and that’s where you can help – if you have information on anything you think should be included in our guide for any of the grounds or cities featured, good or bad, please do get in touch with the FSF and let us know.
