The stadium is located north of the city centre, close to Lisbon's international airport, and only a stone's throw from the city's main ring-road, making it incredibly easy to get to/from.
It is easily reached by metro (Campo Grande is the nearest stop, on the Green and Yellow lines) and several buses run from the city centre to the ground (1, 3, 46, 47, 77, 101, 106 and 108).
General Ground Information
As you can see from the picture, the Jose Alvalade is a spectacular setting for a match, and is a UEFA 5 star stadium, meaning it can host major finals.
The stadium has a capacity of just over 50,000, and even if the ground is not full it appears to be - the seats are designed in a random mix of colours, rather than blocks of seats all of the same colour, to give the illusion of a full crowd.
