History

The Zvezda Stadium was formerly known as the Lenin Komsomol stadium until the fall of the Soviet Union. Opened in 1969, like many other Russian stadia it is covered with artificial turf to help keep conditions playable during the Russian winter.

Location of the Ground in the City

The Zvezda Stadium is located on Kuybisheva Street, not far from Komsomol Square in the city.

Getting to the Ground (Other)

We're doing our best to dig up as much information as possible, though, and appreciate that not many fans will be making the trip out to Russia for the game.
