Brief Ground Location
BATE's Haradzki Stadium can be found to the west of the city centre, and is on the main trunk road that runs north/south through the town.
For European matches, however, BATE play their games at the Dinamo Stadium in the centre of the Belarussian capital Minsk, as the Haradzki is not up to UEFA standards.
Brief Club History
BATE were founded as a works team in the 1970s while Belarus was still part of the former Soviet Union. Since the formation of the Belarussian League in 1992 they have been crowned champions six times, winning the last four titles consecutively since 2006.
In 2008 they became the first Belarussian side to qualify for the Group Stages of the Champions League, and managed two draws with Juventus.
BATE actually stands for Borisov Works of Automobile and Tractor Electric Equipment.
