The stadium will open at 6pm for Chelsea fans. Between 6-7pm Chelsea fans will be able to enter the stadium via Access Point 21. After 7.15pm access will be via Access Points 18 and 19. Turnstiles 46,50,51 and 52 will be in use for Chelsea fans.
Chelsea fans will be bag and body searched at the Access points into the Stadium, before being allowed to make their way to the turnstiles.
Flags
Barcelona FC do not allow large flags in the stadium and will not allow fans to hang them off seating areas as it obscures vision and is considered dangerous. Small flags are allowed, but without poles.
Black Market Tickets
There is legislation surrounding black market ticket sales and touting which will be enforced. Chelsea fans with tickets in the home area will be allowed access to the area as specified on their ticket and will be permitted to remain there unless their presence is likely to cause disorder or police fear for their personal safety; at which point the Chelsea supporter would be removed.
Local Legislation
It is illegal to drink in the street. Smoking is banned in closed spaces, but is permitted in some areas within the ground.
ID must be carried, but it can be in the form of a photocopy of a passport. The police and FCO state that it is more advisable to carry a copy because quite a lot of pickpockets operate in the tourist areas. Wallets should also be well secured and out of view.
Matchday Arrangements
The council are providing a ‘Fan Zone’ in Port Olympic, which is situated by the seafront. This area provides access to bars (including an Irish bar), restaurants, and will have football event related entertainment, music and big screens showing past footage of Chelsea matches. This area will be open from 11am – 6pm.
Police and the FCO advise that Chelsea fans should avoid the area around Coll Blanc as this is where many of the core Barcelona fans will be prior to the match.
Barcelona FC recommend that visiting fans travel on the Green tube line (line 3) to Maria Cristina or Les Corts, both are within walking distance of the Stadium. Les Corts is closest to Access 21. Supporter’s coaches will be allowed to park at the Fan Zone area in Port Olympic and will be able to transport fans to the stadium. The stadium is also relatively accessible via tube from this area.
