Tourist Info
There are several tourist information offices in Barcelona.
The largest one is located at Plaça de Catalunya 17 and offers all the usual tourism services together with a hotel booking service. There is a smaller office on La Ramblas 58. Both are open daily from 9am – 9pm.
Police Stations
If you need to visit the police station for any reason, the Guardia Urbana (City Police) are located on Ramblas 43, tel: 00 34 93 34 41 300 and are open 24 hours.
Hospitals
The old Form E111 is no longer valid and has been replaced with the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). It entitles the holder to emergency medical treatment on the same terms as Spanish nationals but you will not be covered for medical repatriation, on-going medical treatment or treatment of a non-urgent nature.

Chemists
Chemists or farmacia can be identified by a neon green cross. As with the UK, they work on a rota to ensure that there is a chemist in each neighbourhood open round the clock. Outside normal hours, check the rota posted on the chemists door for details of the nearest open chemist.
