Stadium Stand Information

Both Roma and Lazio play their home matches at the Stadio Olimpico. The hardcore Roma supporters, the Ultras, are based in the Curva Sud which marks the stand behind the goal in the south whilst away fans usually find themselves at the opposite end in the Distinti Ospiti, in the northwest corner of the ground.

Security Arrangements for Entry

To enter the ground, you have to scan the barcode at of the electronic turnstiles before you have to undergo a body check, usually carried out by police officers (Carabinieri).

It is advisable to arrive at the ground in good time before kick-off as the entry procedure takes its time and queues are likely to occur.

Prohibited Items

Similar to the UK No bottles, sticks or flags on poles.

Facilities Inside the Ground

Although the stadium may look impressive at first glance and the views from the stands are excellent from wherever you find yourself, facilities inside the ground – including seats - are rather poor and filthy.

However, there are vendors that sell beer, soft drinks and snacks in the aisles and kiosks at ground level.

Matchday Arrangements

These guides act primarily as a source of information for fans travelling to UEFA Champions League and Europa League games. Specific matchday information will be added here when it is received from the clubs ahead of any fixture.

Police strongly advise all fans to avoid the Ponte Duca D’Aosta bridge. Fans and tourists have in the past been attacked here.
