From the train station, the ground is around 20 minutes walk or around one and a half miles. It is possible to walk to Bishop’s Stortford Interchange and catch the Stansted Transit 7, 301, or 333 as far as the Nags Head, but this is still a walk of around 10 minutes. If you are happy to walk from the station turn right and walk up the slope. Turn right again, crossing over the railway line as far as the T-junction. When you reach the T-junction, turn left and walk towards the traffic lights. Turn right at the lights into Dunmow Road. Go straight on, passing the ‘Red Cow Pub’ on your right and some shops on your left. Proceed past the Toyota and Landrover dealers until you reach the roundabout. Bishop's Stortford is 30 miles north of London, less than 20 minutes from junction 27 of the M25 via the M11 motorway. more...
If travelling north from the M25, take the M11 north towards Cambridge. Exit the M11 at Junction 8 (beware there are two exits) following signs for Bishop’s Stortford and motorway services. On the M11 roundabout take the second exit. At the next roundabout take the first exit and then the first right opposite the golf club into the Industrial Estate, following the road around to your right. From the M11 junction, the ground is only around three minutes drive away.
If travelling from the A10, take the roundabout exit marked Bishop’s Stortford A120, continuing along the A120 following signs for Bishop’s Stortford and then the M11, travelling through Standon and straight ahead at the Little Hadham traffic lights.
Continue on the A120 following signs for the M11 and ignoring signs for the town centre. At the next roundabout, (marked Stansted Mountfitchet & Saffron Walden left, Bishop's Stortford right) go straight ahead, staying on the A120 going up hill through the woods.
At the next roundabout (you should see the M11 junction roundabout just ahead of you) take the last exit on to 'Dunmow Road'. Proceed for a few hundred yards with the golf club on your left and take the first turning on the right.
The ground and car park (£1) are straight ahead. Whist there are around 150 spaces, you should arrive at least 30 minutes before kick off to make sure that there are still spaces available. If visiting clubs intend to bring supporters coaches you should contact the club in advance to reserve a space on tel. 0870 033 9930.
