By Train

If you’re coming into Birmingham by train, you will arrive at New Street Station, the city’s main railway station, which is just over two and a half miles from the stadium. The city is fairly well served by rail from most British cities but for timetables and journey times, click here. Birmingham Moor Green station is 20 minutes walk away from the ground.

Most supporters will generally stop off for a beer in town before jumping on any of the buses, of which numbers 57, 57A, 58, 60, 900, 97, 97A all go up to St. Andrews. A taxi should only set you back around £6, but if it is close to kick off, journey time can be slow and you should allow 15 minutes or so.

By Bus

If you’re travelling into the city by bus, the National Express coach station is located in Digbeth a short walk from the Bull Ring and the three city centre train stations, and only 10 minutes or so walk from the ground.

By Car

Birmingham is a city well served by motorways and famous for the Gravelly Hill Interchange (Spaghetti junction) where a number of major roads feed onto the M6. Local motorways include the M1, M5, M6, M40, M42 and M50 as well as the A38(M) known around these parts as the “Aston distressway”. From the major routes you need to head for either the ring road or Small Heath/Bordesley Green and there are several sign posts directing you towards the ground.

There are ‘car parks’ springing up all the time with local entrepreneurs looking to relieve Prawn Sandwich eating football supporters of their cash at the earliest opportunity. If you can find a space to park on the street you will no doubt receive a polite request from one of the local kids to “look after your car mister?” You probably best chucking a couple of quid their way as insurance against keying or firebombing of your vehicle. Unfortunately these days you have to pay in advance for the protection service.

If you are travelling by car, aim to get up to the ground at least two hours before kick off to make sure that you have somewhere to park without the risk of being towed, don’t park on double yellow lines, you will get a ticket. There is very limited car parking for away fans in the secure enclosure by the away fans entrance.

Other Ways To Get There

By Air

The nearest airport to St Andrews is Birmingham airport, around 11 miles from the ground. The airport is served by budget airlines Flybe, BMI Baby, Easyjet and Ryanair amongst others. From the airport, take buses towards the bus/rail interchange, then the Northern line. Alternatively, if you’re short of time, taxis are readily available at the airport.

By Taxi

There are a couple of taxi ranks in the city centre, including at New Street Station. If you want to call one whilst in the city, try Blue Line tel. 0121 523 7211 or BBs on tel. 0121 693 3333.
