There are now 66 spaces available for wheelchair users and special provision for hearing impaired supporters.
There are six wheelchair areas – one in the Tilton Road and one in the Paddock, and two in the Kop and Railway End with adapted toilets and catering facilities located behind each wheelchair area. Access and egress to and from the ground is level with wide gates. One of the major drawbacks is the lack of parking facilities which means that only disabled supporters with the greatest mobility needs will be allocated spaces, not necessarily everyone presenting a blue/orange badge.
Away fans can obtain tickets through their clubs own ticket office. Parking is allocated in the away car park on Coventry Road but only on a first come first serve basis. There is a charge for using this facility.
The club provides 8 seats (& additional spaces for helpers) within the Paddock for visually impaired supporters. Commentary is available via hospital radio with headsets available for a refundable £10 deposit. Due to the limited number of headsets, supporters are advised to call the club on 0871 226 1875 two days before the game to reserve a headset.
There are also spaces in the Paddock available for deaf or hard of hearing and ambulant supporters.
For more information on disabled facilities at grounds across the UK, visit the National Association of Disabled Supporters' (NADS) website, which is an excellent source of information for disabled fans of league and non-league clubs alike.
