With England’s storming form in qualifying for South Africa 2010 it’s likely that more fans than expected will be making the trip across Europe and into Asia for the visit to Kazakhstan on Saturday, June 6th, 2009.

Kazakhstan is probably best known in England for being the birthplace of Sacha Baron Cohen’s fictional creation Borat, but we’ll avoid the cheap jokes and leave that to others. No doubt there’ll be an upsurge in sales of those disturbing green man-bikinis though. Be warned though - the Kazakh authorities won't be amused so don't bother.

Fans would be advised to leave those alone and instead spend their time getting in that all important visa application. We always advise supporters to apply as early as possible in order to avoid frustration, as the Kazakhstan authorities may struggle to process thousands of late applications.

It has now been confirmed that this game will take place in Almaty.
