There are plenty of things to see and do across Trinidad and Tobago which focus heavily on the natural landscape of the islands, from sampling magnificent beaches, to going underwater at one of the many idyllic dive sites, to enjoying the local fauna and flora at one of the numerous wildlife parks. Port of Spain is home to Queen’s Park Oval, one of the largest cricket grounds in the West Indies which has played host to more test matches than anywhere else in the Caribbean. It also hosts football matches out of the cricket season and whilst it mightn't look match empty it is pretty impressive when it's a 25,000 capacity crowd.
There are also several golf courses where you can play 9 or 18 holes including St. Andrews' Golf course in Maraval (just outside of Port of Spain in Trinidad) and the Mt. Irvine Golf Course in Tobago.
Casino-wise there is also the Royalton Casino, located next to Crown Point Beach Hotel which offers roulette and craps tables, blackjack and slot-machines as well as a free shuttle to and from the local hotels.
Plenty of companies offer sightseeing tours around the island which are handy if you don't have too much spare time to find your way around. Whilst the commn trend throughout the Caribbean is 'limin' - hanging out with your mates playing cards, drinking and just taken it easy, there are quite a few nightclubs in Trinidad and Tobago, with the most popular being Zen in Port of Spain and Sting nightclub in La Romaine. Due to the relatively high crime rate, you should exercise caution and are best in a group. Nightclubs don't tend to get going until very late (or perhaps more accurately in the early hours!)
