Visas are required to enter, or travel through, Belarus. As well as passports of course! In order to obtain a visa, a voucher is required from a registered Belarusian travel agency with whom you have booked your accommodation.
Supporters wishing to travel to these games can contact RuVisa Ltd, one of a number of companies, who may be able to assist you with booking accommodation and securing the necessary paperwork. Expect to pay around £149 for this service, although this is always subject to change as the Belarusian authorities have proven by hiking prices in the summer of 2008.
Don't leave these things too late either, as it can take time to organise. For further information or assistance email fsf@ruvisa.co.uk or call 0131 662 0930 or 0207 221 7779.
Alternatively, if you're the type who likes to shop around, you can try Belarus Rent Service, Belarus Tour Service or Visa To Russia who all provide similar services, although we can't vouch for them personally.
Getting from the airport to the city centre is a 40-minute taxi ride, although you'll be lucky if it costs less than £25. There are also buses (journey time 40mins) that arrive at the Moscow Bus Station (Moskovski Avtovakzal). To get to the centre you can take a taxi or the metro. Moskovskaya metro station is about 200 metres away on Prospekt Nazavisimosti. When you leave the bus station you need to turn left and follow the main road to get there. There are also regular minibuses that make the trip in under an hour and should only cost a couple of pounds.
The Dinamo Stadium itself is in the city centre, click here for more stadium detail.
