Ground rules and matchday

There’s nothing particularly startling about the rules for the EstadiOlimpic itself. The list of prohibited items is the standard UEFA list. There will be 6 or 7 entrance points for the England sector, with two cordons, the first checking for ticket ownership and carrying out a bag and body search, the second for more detailed ticket checking and directing to the right block.

The stadium authorities told us they were quite happy to arrange a time in advance of the stadium opening for the game for people to hang flags. The time and access point for this had not been determined by the time Free Lions went to press; for up-to-date details, contact the Fans’ Embassy on arrival in Barcelona.

It appears that the FA’s ticket allocation was more than sufficient to provide every member who wanted to see the game with a ticket. For non-englandfans members, the Andorran FA were selling tickets direct to the general public, and it was anticipated that there may still be some available on the day of the game (although clearly it’s impossible to be sure of how sales are going in advance of the date).

If there are tickets still available– and again, check with the Fans’ Embassy for the latest situation – past experience tells us they will be sold from the ticket office at the stadium. Please note that in the past these have been cash sales only; credit cards were not accepted.

Please note, we may find out additional last minute detail. Keep an eye on the Free Lions newspage for this.
