San Pablo Airport is situated 7km east of Seville city centre whilst La Parra International Airport is located 10km from Jerez de la Frontera, on the way to Seville. La Parra is popular with the budget flight companies
Getting from the airport to the city centre (From San Pablo)
By train - Trains from the airport to the city centre take approximately 15 minutes
By bus - You can get the regular ‘Especial Aeropuerto’ bus service which connects the airport with Puerta de Jerez in the city centre. The service runs every 30 minutes with stops at the Santa Justa train station. The bus departs outside the arrivals hall and the fare to the centre is around €2.50 for a single journey. Journey times will depend on the amount of traffic on the roads
By taxi - From San Pablo taxis are readily available from outside the arrival hall and run on a fixed fare to the city centre, around €20 during the day and €25 in the evening. You can pre-book an airport transfer shuttle and have a driver waiting in arrivals to transfer you to your hotel when you get there shuttledirect. BY TRAIN: If you don’t enjoy flying it is possible to travel to Seville by train from London but it’s not cheap. The easiest route is to take the Eurostar from London to Paris and then an overnight ‘trainhotel’ from Paris to Madrid. From Paris to Madrid prices start at £59 return for Eurostar and £60 each way in a basic sleeper compartment on the trainhotel. Once in Madrid, you take the AVE (Alta Velocidad Española) to Seville, which is approximately a 2hr journey and they run every hour. The main train station is Estacion Santa Justa on Avenida Kansas City, a 15 minute walk from the city centre. Bus #27 goes from the station to Plaza de la Encarnación and bus #70 goes to the Plaza de España. The train station has a tourist information booth, currency exchange and cash machines, and left-luggage lockers
BY COACH: Eurolines do coaches to Seville several times a week. The outward journey takes just over 35 hours and the return is 37 hours. The price is £174 but should you require insurance add another £6. You need to ask yourself do you really want to spend 37 hrs stuck in a seat with very little movement when for the same price you could fly to other areas of Spain and get a train or coach to Seville!
