Quayside ramble – This year’s chill-out option for Sunday “morning” is to wander the few hundred or so yards down the Quayside from the Conference Hotel to the weekly market that has been held in that location since 1736, cross over the Millennium footbridge and visit the Baltic contemporary art gallery (entry is free) or Sage Music Hall, and to take in the sights and sounds of the historic Newcastle Quayside.
