Anyone attending Fans' Parliament needs to register in advance. This helps us work out things like venue layout and the amount of packs we need to print off. It also lets you choose which of the breakout sessions you wish to attend - club governance and ownership, policing and stewarding, safe standing, ticket prices or diversity. Crucially, we can also judge how many sandwiches to get in. First hand experience tells us that normally placid folk can turn very, very nasty on an empty stomach.
Thanks for coming this far by the way, it means you're thinking of registering, you're almost there!
Just a quick explanation on further timings and breakout sessions. A detailed agenda will be made available to all a little nearer the time - including guest speakers and the like - but just to let you all know that FP09 kicks off at 10am with the Chair's welcome being followed by a keynote speech. We'll then break off at 11.15am for the breakout sessions which run until 2.30pm (with a lunch break in between) when the second keynote speaker will take to the stage.
Breakout groups that will allow delegates to investigate, debate and recommend FSF policy across a range of issues. This gives everyone the chance to have their say, rather than the old format of 300 people in a room all trying to get a word in. The sessions will then reconvene to the main hall and propose motions which are then voted on and passed/rejected as FSF policy.
The breakout sessions will (separately) cover club governance and ownership, policing and stewarding, safe standing, ticket prices, or diversity. You must choose one when registering. That's one and one only, please!
Saturday night (Live Theatre, 7pm KO, free entry) sees our FSF talk-in. Imagine Have I Got News for You? with football instead of all that other unimportant stuff. There's a bar in the venue so it's not a bad way to kick-start the evening at all. Please let us know on the registration form below if you're planning on attending that too.
