 Campaigns

The FSF welcomes approaches from fans who wish to campaign on issues that matter to football supporters. We have divisions throughout England and Wales and each region can focus on issues which are relevant locally or nationally. There is also a campaigns budget which can be easily accessed by members to pay for materials and other costs.

Our major campaigns at present are Watching football is not a crime! - which fights for the rights of football fans unjustly served with Section 27 orders - and Fair Cop? which was initiated by the FSF's Northeast division and gives fans their chance to feedback on policing and stewarding at the region's derby matches.

While Watching football is not a crime! and Fair Cop? have both received much media attention we also have a number of other ongoing campaigns which we'd be interested to hear from you on.

The FSF is proud to announce that our nominated charity of choice is the Homeless World Cup 2009. If you would like to get involved and raise funds for the Homeless World Cup visit our dedicated Homeless World Cup 2009 page.

Price Watch was launched to respond to fans’ concerns that many clubs were bending, or breaking, the rules on ticket pricing. If you think your club are treating fans unfairly, or have broken the rules, email the FSF and tell us about it.

Other recent high profile FSF campaigns include No to Gam£ 39 where we led the opposition to the Premier League's proposal to play one round of games abroad. We believe Gam£ 39 in its old format is effectively dead and called a halt to the campaign. Victory!

We also work on the campaign for Safe Standing in conjunction with our friends at Stand Up Sit Down. The campaign is on hold at present but succeeded in persuading the Liberal Democrats to back Safe Standing while more than 100 MP's also signed an Early Day Motion backing the FSF's stance.

To learn more about the FSF's campaigning work read the The Fans' Blueprint for Football which is our central policy document or email Steve Powell, the FSF's director of policy and campaigns.

It's about time that the views of the major 'stakeholders' in the game were considered and we work to draw attention to the lack of meaningful discussion that takes place on many of the game’s major issues.

Strength comes in numbers, join the FSF today.
